Just like everybody and they mama, I have opinions. I don't know why anyone in particular would be interested in my opinions. I mean, I don't care about your opinion. So why would you care about mine?
But I am entrenched daily in the media. I see the right get fake outraged over the left. And I see the left get fake outraged on the right. And then I watch as the media blows all of it out of proportion.
Being able to see thru all the contrivedness (no that isn't a word) to what is actually interesting, entertaining, and important is what I'm good at. I think it's a talent, but it probably isn't.
I'm a liberal on some stuff, a conservative on others. It depends on the issue. I MAKE A DECISION ON EACH INDIVIDUAL ISSUE LIKE ANY NORMAL, INTELLIGENT, RATIONAL HUMAN BEING.
Anyone who is all right or all left is DUMB. And anyone who thinks the "other side" of what they believe is somehow "wrong" is also DUMB. It's all opinion.
Oh, and if you're against gay marriage, you're a bigot. And if you don't believe in legalization of marijuana, you're an idiot. And if you disagree with me on anything, you're WRONG.

I was asked by our web girl Jaclyn for my favorite holiday recipes. Since I don't cook, because, well, I'm a man, I asked my mom for her faves. Below is her email, then i just G-G-G-Googled for the recipes:
My favorite holiday recipes are "Beef Burgundy" and "Coquilles Saint Jacques" for Christmas dinner and "Buche de Noel" for dessert. In America, I often use them with the recipe of "Baked Ham with Spiced Apples and Pears." You can find those recipes on the internet. As you know, I remember the ingredients in my head, and the dishes all come out good at the end. Important: don't forget to add some cognac on any dinner recipes. Voila, bon appetit!
When I was sick a few weeks ago, I started drinking mad green tea. Cuz of the antioxidants n stuff. So I hit up Trader Joe's (I go to the one in Folsom) to get some.
After I healed up, I kept drinking this stuff. And I must say, I've been feeling wonderful! I have tons of energy, been sleeping well, and generally just in a good mood and feeling of contentment.
Is it the green tea? I dunno. This may just be all in my head. Psychosomatic. This stuff could just be a placebo. But you know what? I DON'T CURRRRRRRRRRRRR. I'm happy, and that's what counts.
The tea is called "Yogi." I'd never heard of it before. I basically bought it because it says "Super Antioxidant" on the box and there's a hot Indian chick on the box too. I'm quite the discriminating shopper. I'm like Consumer Reports over here.
Like I said, I get the stuff at Trader Joe's. It costs like $3 or $4 for this box of 16 tea bags. And no I'm not getting paid for this (although that'd be nice!). I just feel really strongly about how this stuff has made me feel, and Yogi Green Tea is now a staple of my healthy lifestyle. Here are some pics. Enjoy!
For some reason, I signed up for the MaraFUNrun in Sacramento on December 8, 2013. I'm running it with my dude Nic Palmer, who is also on Medifast and has lost a bunch of weight.
We're doing it with our Medifast center (the Howe Ave location). A few weeks ago, Nic asked me if I was going to do the run. I told him I'd do it if he did it. He was down, and so was I.
I want to walk the dang thing. Nic claims he's going to run. Whatevs! It's 2.62 miles, so even walking the route should only take about 45 minutes tops, right?
I've been running on the treadmill at the gym. The treadmill is why I passed out and cracked my head, dontcha know? But I've been going easy on it. Easy as in SLOW. I "run" (slowly jog/ slowly walk) about 1 mile in 15 minutes a few times a week on the treadmill. So this MaraFUNrun should be an adventure! Fun is the key part.
To me, 2.62 miles seems excessive for a "fun run." But I got Palmer as my partner and running mate, so that should make it easier. He's a good dude.
Here's the link if you want more info and if you want to run it too!
See where it says "Congratulations to the Armstrong and Getty Show!" right under Morton's? We made it, baby! We're big time!
